Support and Advocacy for Victim Empowerment (SAVE)

The Support and Advocacy for Victim Empowerment (SAVE) program provides support and advocacy to victims of Operating Under the Influence (OUI) crashes.

All services are free of charge and include:

  • Counseling (including Phone Counseling),
  • Crisis intervention,
  • Referrals,
  • Information,
  • Advocacy,
  • Outreach,
  • Education surrounding victim rights and the judicial system, and
  • Support groups.

Services are provided in comfortable and accessible settings (e.g. home, hospital, school, LUK Office). Assistance with transportation is available to reduce barriers to receiving services.

SAVE services are voluntary and responsive to meet the unique needs of each individual’s recovery. All services are conducted by staff specializing in trauma recovery, expressive arts therapy, and cognitive behavioral skills training.

Services are funded by the Drunk Driving Trust Fund (DDTF) of the Massachusetts Office for Victim Assistance (MOVA).
