Art Contest

LUK Prevention hosts an annual art contest for local youth (K-12) around substance use prevention through the use of art as a means of expression and coping.

We are currently accepting submissions for our Spring 2024 art contest until March 29, 2024.

Submission Guidelines:
  • Create a work of art (2D, 3D, Digital, or Creative Writing; 2D suggested size is 8×10″ or smaller) focused on the theme, “How do you practice self care and mindfulness?”
  • Include a paragraph explaining your artwork- this will be your artist statement.
  • Submissions must include an art contest consent form completed with a caretaker, if you want us to be able to post your work to LUK, Inc. social media (you can also fill it out once winners are announced if you win).
  • Submit your art, consent form, and artist statement to ArtContest@LUK.org by March 29, 2024.
Things to Keep in Mind:
  • Artworks will be selected based on appropriateness for theme. Selected artworks will be displayed on LUK, Inc. social media.
  • Submissions must include completed consent forms, with a caretaker, to be posted. To download LUK’s consent form, click here.
  • LUK Prevention maintains the right to determine which works of art are appropriate for this contest. Any subject matter that is highly controversial, items, symbols, or themes that may represent racism, prejudice, profanity, or of a violent or lewd nature are not appropriate.
  • Winners will be notified following the end of submissions. Prizes are available for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.
